Day 25 of my Dark Dark Days of December Challenge – the best way to combat the winter blues – connect with the nature looking at Verbena seed heads
Merry Christmas and Verbena Seed-sons Greetings
Merry Christmas to all of you! I hope that you have enjoyed this blog series so far. I really love Verbena. Verbena are not wild flowers and are not native to the UK. However, for most gardeners who want to attract insects to their gardens they are an absolute stalwart. I grew some from seed during the Covid 2020 lock down and now they have self seeded all over the place including down the road and in a gutter. In the summer they bring a lilac frothiness to my mini wild flower meadow. In the winter they bring height and a perch for the sparrows and robins that often visit my garden.
Get out and enjoy nature today!
Spending Christmas alone or with family or friends take time to step outside and appreciate nature today. The Devon Wildlife Trust have a Twelve Days of Christmas https://www.devonwildlifetrust.org/news/charity-wants-you-have-wild-christmas
I am taking part in. Whom ever you are with please take good care and thank you for reading my blog.
